vibrante

Public and landscape lighting study for the surroundings and the internal areas of the urban blocks of the new "Ban de Gasperich" district in Luxembourg.

The approach, developed in collaboration with the landscape architect, is both minimalist and enveloping, seeking to preserve darkness by providing light only where necessary, while creating a warm, domestic and reassuring atmosphere. Playing with chiaroscuro and paying a particular attention to the lighting of certain vertical surfaces creates a wealth of lighting moods magnifying the character of the different spaces and offering a variety of experiences walking around or through the urban blocks.

The project is the result of a very close coordination with the landscape architect (general concept, integration of luminaires, etc.), the various architects (lighting of facades, entrances, accesses, etc.) and the technical and safety services (emergency lighting, standards, etc.). The lighting through the perforated wall of the covered passageways illustrates the quality of the result that can only be achieved through such close collaboration and coordination.
