The façade of the emblematic Rob shop in Woluwé-Saint-Pierre, built in the 1970s, features a large, smooth, white architectural concrete cladding around the perimeter of the building. The lighting scheme meets the store's commercial visibility requirements, without distorting the perception of the façades, which are part of Brussels' architectural heritage.
We therefore sought to exploit the empty space between the concrete claustra and the actual façade of the building, located approximately 1.5 metres to the rear, to place a series of intensive colour changing projectors (RGBW) that can be individually controlled. This creates a dynamic-coloured lighting that meets commercial expectations, while at the same time magnifying the concrete claustra, which appears in silhouette, as if in reverse perception to that of the day.

The highly elaborated programme regularly punctuates the passage of time with recurring lighting animations, varying according to weekdays, weekends and closing times. Specific lighting scenes are planned for public holidays and other special days, some of which are commercial, others for global causes.
