Heritage sites and buildings

The brief for this project was to highlight the artistic and historical heritage of the Collegiate Church of Sainte-Waudru in Mons, as part of a tour of the main sculptures, paintings and works of art located in the Church.

The proposed lighting enhances all the works of art, with excellent modelling and colour rendering, high glare control and maximum concealment of the lighting equipment.

The lighting scheme for the Schaerbeek town hall, a listed building in the eclectic style of the 19th century, is based on a very subtle low-angled lighting that highlights the pilasters and numerous details, softened by a few low-power spotlights placed around the building.

Small, discreetly placed linear LED luminaires were used to modulate the light tones and intensities according to their location, the materials, dimensions and details of the various elements to be lit.

STAM, the Ghent city museum, is located on the “De Bijloke” site, in a listed convent that was completely renovated for this project. The challenge for the lighting designers was to highlight the architecture of this major historic site, while meeting the expectations of the museum's lighting and scenography.

The "Locutorium" project is the first stage in the renovation of Leuven's Abbey of the Park, which houses the museum that explains its history. The lighting requirements were to highlight this historic building while blending in perfectly within it, and to comply with museum lighting requirements in terms of scenography and controlling light levels to preserve the works of art.

The brief of creating a new interior lighting for the Halles Saint-Géry in Brussels was to subtly reveal the richness of the indoor historic structure, provide flexible and appropriate lighting for the many exhibitions that the space hosts on the ground and first floors, and offer an atmosphere appropriate to its use as a night bar.

A project for the illumination of the Brussels Central Station, a listed building designed by Victor Horta and inaugurated in 1952.

The lighting concept selected the most characteristic and visible elements of the building from urban perspectives, and to magnify the glass wall over the entrance, which had been designed from the outset as a beacon radiating towards the city.
